Over a spance of 15 years I have had eight stents placed in various heart arteries. My PM was placed over two years ago. I am having the same symtoms that I have had before having to get each stent. Is it possible to be needing another stent even after getting a PM placed? The heart doctor never said that I could still have to have them and I never asked.
Thank You!

STENTS AND STATINS

The statains and antiplatletts are actually what they do to help prevent your arteries from geting clogged. Statins help lower the cholesterol but also keep plaque from peeling off the arterial walls. The antiplatletts make your blood "slicker" for lack of a better word.
Other than that not smoking (or using any tobbacco)
adjust your diet
excercise
and that is about all that can be done to help with the clogging.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
