I would like to be able to edit YOUR  messages but unfortunately can't.

The  " Edit " facility only allows the sender to change their own messages so if you do a typo or write something libellous it can be useful. Our beloved moderator can always delete though if you don't behave yourself.

The edit only shows up on your post for you too see because you are the author of the post. I get an edit icon on my post that only I see. Your post doesn't show the edit to the people that are reading it. That's why you don't see it on other people's posts. Only on yours. I hope that explains it .

IAN MC  do you remember a couple of years back I found myself in permanent captivity up there in the Whos Online box??....well I seem to be stuck in there again !!.

This further reinforces my paranoia .....the Moderators have, in my skewed mind , put me on the Naughty Step !!
