Left breast issues on mammograms....abnormalities?

I had my 2nd mammogram post PM two weeks ago. I got a letter saying to come in for a diagnostic (not screening) repeat mammogram due to possible "abnormality" on the left side. Would having a PM affect the breast tissue below/arround it? I really do not want to be squashed again as it was really uncomfortable on that side, and because I was afraid they would pull on the PM and dislodge a wire. Is there any information on left breast abnormalities (the side the PM is on) after getting a pacemaker? thanks! cb

It's hard not to worry...easier said then done.
Maybe you can get in for the follow up this week.

Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.

Ask your doctor for a breast ultrasound. Sometimes they can not see behind or to the side of the PM with a mammography and they can see more tissue with ultrasound.
Plus it's painless!
Try not to worry, I have been called back and was cleared with the ultrasound.
