any one here have any success on getting an off the shelf USB to connect with the 1150? my mom lives with me and has the 1150. We refuse to pay $450 for something that costs less than $50. we really don't want to get another landline because ATT in Chicago requires Uverse internet to work. we were paying $100 a month just for phone line which is just nuts.
I purchased the wifi usb and router that nickp used and have no luck on getting that to connect. I am pretty handy with a computer so if anyone can provide the model of the usb. i can write up the steps to do this.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Merlin@home Broadband Kit

Hi CHEWEY18,
I know this thread is old but I'm hoping I can help a little.
The broadband kit available for use with the Merlin@home transmitter is specially configured to work with the transmitter; other broadband set-ups will not work with the transmitter. Some clinics can give their patients cellular adapters or broadband kits to use with the Merlin@home transmitter- I recommend checking with the clinic to see if they can give you either. If not, they'll refer you to a 3rd party company where you can purchase the broadband kit or sign a contract to use a cellular adapter (that 3rd party company controls the pricing and SJM/Abbott does not see the money you pay them).
Although the Merlin@hoem transmitter is meant to be used with analog services, it can also work with digital bundle packages like U-Verse. If your main cordless phone base connects to the back of your U-Verse box, try connecting the transmitter into that same exact port using a splitter.
Your mother probably doesn't sleep in the room where your U-Verse box is; the transmitter will attempt to find her implant within 10 feet between the hours of 2am and 4am but if it can't find her, it will continue looking for her every 2 hours throughout the day until it finds her. She'd need to spend a consecutive 2 hours within 10 feet of the transmitter in order for it to find her implant. The transmitter will need to be level with where she sits in that room, facing her, with nothing blocking its ability to pick up her implant (furniture, walls, etc.).
Hope you got everything resolved :)
