Feeling PM work.

I had my PM placed on 12/19/2016 and have been on lite duty at work for 2 weeks. I see my DR. tomorrow and have a Device check two weeks later. I have read seveal post where people feel the PM start or when working. I have felt nothing , Fuzzyness and dizzy spells gone for the most part but I have never "felt " it start working . Should I have?

feeling it

Not feeling it is the norm! Often, people are feeling their heart beating faster, not actually the pacer pacing. The signal the pacer puts out is extremely small, designed to mimic what our hearts should be doing on their own. All we should be feeling is a normal heart rate.

I have had a pace maker for 9 years and never have felt it doing it's job; but I know it keeps my heart rate at 60 or above all the time as I check it morning and night with my blood pressure.  .  It also adapts well to increased activity without me feeling any sensation.

Proving that all of us have differences  ..I have never, IMO, felt  anything  ..  but some do ..our sensitivities vary wildly .

Roger, you  and I do the same thing , but I usually just do it once , via the Cardio.com, courtesy of the VA .

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
