Is Apple series 2 Nike watch safe to wear

Hey lovely people,

Finally managed to get my hands on new Apple Watch, didn't even cross my mind as to weather it would cause my old lady battery problems or not? just contacted apple support to be told it's got magnet underneath the face and in strap, will this cause any issues? desperately want to play with the new toy!

I have the orginial Apple Watch and wear it everyday.  I do not have the magnetic band, just the plain neoprene strap that came with it and I have had no problems.  I use a sleep tracking app so I wear it over night and often my arm lays across my chest directly over my ICD.

I always ask my Device Tech during Interrogations if my device has shown any interruptions in service (I also use Bluetooth earbuds that I carry in my shirt pocket, lay an iPad across my chest, iPhone in left ear, all the things they say not to do...).  She has never found any indication that my device has been impacted by any of these devices.

Amazing! Thank you for the quick response, this site is awesome for sharing questions and tips. I'll have had my first PM for two years in February and shows how quickly you forget about it and normal life continues, my new toy and I will start triathlon training in Jan!
