I got my pacer day before yesterday. Procedure ok, hurt sometimes .Woke up scared at night!( but was ok) Worse part of stay was bedpan first day, and sleeping sitting up, and the danged cramp in my chest when the Medtronic guy came in!! Owweeee . So happy to get out of there! Nurses were great and techs work hard. But, when they hear you are leaving, you are invisible!Lol. Having trouble remembering to keep my kindle away from pacemaker. But. Slept Good last nite. Thank you all for your help so far! Ileen( sore sore this morning) Hope everyone has a blessed holiday!

You do not need to keep your kindle away from your pacer. Just don't fall asleep with it on your chest.

Thank you both for your comments! I am already bored! Dr said I can't ride my stationary bike till. 10 days. Hubby won't let me do anything! Been up walking around the house looking like a lost soul!!😱 Feeling ok, just sore! I guess I will go watch some mindless tv and eat the Xmas goodies I got from kind folks and get fatter! 😇 Good to know about kindle, I usually fall asleep and falls on the floor! Not good! Now if someone will help me figure out how I am gonna get my husband to wash and style my hair! Hugs, Ileen

It's good to move if you feel up to it! Go for a walk when your husband isn't looking lol.

Funny story... when I got my first pacer we were just married 6 months. My husband was determined to blow dry and style my hair for me. He tried so hard and was so proud of himself, I didn't have the heart to tell him it was awful lolol. I got my stylist to do it for me the next time.
