Underarm Pain 3 Years Post-Implant

Hi all! This coming April will mark three years since I got my PM (while on vacation in Greece!)  A few months ago I started feeling a burning, painful sensation deep down in my left armpit (PM is on the left.)  When I push in on it, I feel a slightly hard bump that I can move, like a cyst perhaps. Nothing similar on the right side. Had my doc check it, she couldn't feel anything and wasn't worried.  But it continues to hurt, especially with movement.  Anybody had anything like this?  Might it be related to my PM?

First, I love Greece. My husband and I spoke with our waitress tonight who is new to this country (Scotland) from Greece.

Second, if the doc isn't worried and couldn't feel it, it's probably ok. But the pain has me wondering. I had a blood clot in my armpit after getting my PM (so sexy, right?) but three years after the fact doesn't sound plausible.

It's possible it could be a swollen lymph node. They can hurt a bit. Does Tylenol help?  Curiosity!

Thanks!

Thanks, NiceNiecey! I, too, thought three years was a long time for something to show up, although I've read about people developing metal or other allergies to their PMs, but the sore spot's not near the PM so that doesn't seem likely.  I don't have any other symptoms (swelling, redness, etc.) that might indicate a blood clot.  BTW, I love Scotland! We just spent time on Harris and Lewis this past spring. Lovely!

Thank you, AngrySparrow, for your good advice.  The spot does feel more sore after I mess with it, LoL!  My doc is a generalist so a specialist might be called for.  I'm menopausal so I suppose it's just more of that hormonal fun stuff, although just on one side which seems odd.

Cheers to you both, and happy holidays!
