Weakness/fatigue

PM inserted 11/22/16.  For the past month or so, I get extremely fatigued.  I have been back for my 3 month check and they tell me all is well.  I just don't have the energy I used to have and it is depressing.

Fatigue

by Cajun Girl - 2016-11-26 22:34:56

I had mine inserted 2 months ago and have had extreme exhaustion and fatigue since 2 weeks before it was inserted.  I am going to call the EP on Monday to see if I can be seen sooner.  If something isn't done that makes me feel better I will be looking for a new EP.  My depression has been controlled for years but I had to call my psychiatrist yesterday and she increased my med.

As a result of sleeping so much I don't eat or drink like I should.  I believe my electrolytes may be off balance and I am trying to decide whether to go to the ER or not.

Wish you luck - I know how you feel!

Cardiac Rehab

Angry Sparrow - I called the hospital where my pacemaker was inserted and they told me that a diagnosis of SSS did not qualify for cardiac rehab 😢.

I have been on a CPAP for a few years now, would love to have everything rechecked, but that is further down on my list.

I just want to feel like doing something more than sleep constantly!  Something is not right and it seems that I nor any of the doctors can figure it out either.

Nevertheless, good advice.

Cardiac rehab

I have had my PM in for five months now but had my PM in for about three weeks when we took a short trip ( with the blessing of my doc.). Even though I knew My fatigue was to be expected it was still worrisome and I had to take a nap every afternoon. When we returned I requested Cardio Rehab and both of my doctors agreed to recommend me even though I had SSS and really did not need it, but I FELT I needed it!!  Of course my insurance would not pay for it . I pay $6.00 per session and is has been so worth the money..It has made a huge difference!!  I feel so much better and stronger!! It is at our local hospital.  The staff/nurses and exercise physiologist  is great and so caring and I have made friends who share some same issues -- .  If you are able I would try to find a cardiac rehab   Good luck to you!!  I understand your concern!

You know you're wired when...

Friends call you the bionic man.

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.
