I wouldn't expect anyone to remember my ordeal of 3 months ago with all the posts on this forum but in a REAL SHORT version---simple generator change eventually got infected, lost pacer on left side, put in on right. All healed without incident. I feel great. It looks great. However...
It's been 3 months exacvtly and I've just started feeling a superficial "pulling" "tight" sensation above and towards the armpit. It just feels like a stiff muscle that affects my shoulder a bit too. It doesn't "hurt", but it is new and I'm a bit concerned.
I know with my original pacer 3+ years ago it never totally settled down for almost a year but I never had this. No redness. No fever. Scar looks great. No pain. I'm a big woman so I have a lot of "fluff" but it doesn't seem any fluffier than the other side as far as I can tell. When I look in the mirror I see the slight bulge of the pacer as I always have but that's it.
Does anyone else have odd things with their PM?
Thanks for hearing out a nervous old lady. VK

This forum NEVER has failed to calm me. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
These are their own "beings"

I think it took almost 18 months for my first one to totally stop acting up. Today it is just a little sore over the well healed, healthy looking incision. Sigh... I watch this thing like a hawk. I "think" the GIANT hole on the left side from where they took out the infected one is sufficiently healed that if they had to---HEAVEN FORBID!---they could actually move it back to that side. Sure would like to avoid that.
So far it looks fine and I feel great---far better than I did the entire 3 years I had the first one.
Appreciate the comfort.

Glad the infection is cleared up and you are ok!!!!! Pulling, tightness, shooting pains, odd aches are all part of healing. As long as there are no signs of infection, it's ok. Sometimes ice helps, sometimes heat helps.
