an old feeling

Tomorrow marks 1 month after my pm surgery.  I have found and old feeling I lost a long time ago.... boredom!   I have not felt like doing anything for so long that I had forgotten what it is like to want to get out and do stuff.   I have so many old feelings coming back and it is quite scary to think of how bad I felt before having my surgery.  I am now realizing the problem must have been there longer than I even thought.

I was active with walking and zumba before but that was more of a weight control thing.  Now I actually feel like getting out there and living.  It is so nice to be out and not having that brain fog feeling and wanting to go home.  My daughter that is 12 even said over the weekend that I am moving around more and have more color  (not sure if the color thing is true but it was cute).   Such an awesome feeling!!

I'm so glad for you. Your PM is doing exactly what's it's intended to--give you your life back.

Don't discount your daughter's observations re: color. I had always had rosy cheeks and lips but I had accepted my faded cheek and lip color as an inevitable consequence of aging.

When my pacemaker was implanted, the color came back. The improvement was noticeable as soon as I came out of anesthesia.

Enjoy your new lease on life.

thank you

It's amazing how much we adapt and compensate when we don't feel well. It's great that you're feeling like your old self and wanting to be active again. Go for it!!!!

You know you're wired when...

Friends call you the bionic man.
