tree removal

could equipment used by tree removal service be interferring with my pacemake? They are in process of cuttng down six trees all over 120 feet tall .  When I walked past this equipment coming into house , my HR dropped to low of 40 and stayed until I went to room farthest away from this activity,Pacemaker is set at 70. Far be it from me

I have had my pacemaker for 30 years and have used chain saws. I have worked closely around high voltage equipment and generators. A tree company even cut a tree down in my yard last Spring. I stood next to them. I have never found anything that interferes with my PM. However, as I said; far be it from me to say it could not happen to you. I don't know. I just doubt it.

interference

Ditto what GoodDog said. I've been paced 20+ years, never been overly cautious, never found anything to interfere. Even if something would interfere, it wouldn't turn the pacer off. If we get too close to a magnet that's strong enough, all it could do is pull the switch shut and put it in test mode until you get away from it. It would feel like when they interrogate. If you have a home monitor, note the time it happened and start a download. If not, call and ask to be seen. They can tell hyou right away if something interfered. It's ok to count a few beats per minute under your minimum setting, but it should never be as low as 40.

You know you're wired when...

You need to be re-booted each morning.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
