Hi all. I moved from Philadelphia to central Washington and there is only one EP in my area and the EP program is not really established yet, so I am going to drive over the mountains to Seattle or Everett to get better care. I have bradycardia with a pacemaker implanted in 2009. I have been the victim of programming mistakes before, so I actually collect all my intitial interrogation reports as well as final reports so I can make sure nothing is changed without my permission.
I know U of Washington Hospital has a good cardiology program, but if anyone can share personal experiences with EPs in the area I would appreciate. Incidentally, it would be great to find a program with good integration between EP and general cardiology as the programming mistake they made at UPenn (putting me in Rate Response mode) actucally caused acute overpacing and had damaged my heart muscle, so we were monitoring it back in Philadelphia.
Thanks in advance. andrea

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
