Bedside monitor

I am getting ready to go on a short trip.  I will be away from home three days.  Is it absolutely necessary that I take my Medtronic bedside monitor with me?  Or can I get away with not having it with me for that short of time?  Thanks so much.  We will be flying and I just did not want to pack it if I did not have to.

MyCareLink Patient Monitor

If you have the MyCareLink Patient Monitor (the cellular model), then no, you don't need to take it with you. You should be doing your monitoring on scheduled intervals. So you should know when you will need to use it next. As long as you will be home the next time they want you to send data, then you can go away without it.

Mine does a report every night and a full download every 3 months. The only night they want me to be sure to be near the monitor is the download. I get a phone call the day before reminding me and it's set to do it's thing during the night. They told me no need to take it with me unless I plan to be gone for a few months. (Which was the right answer, because I have no intention of taking it on vacation, ever. :oP)

I also refused to put it by my bed! I don't want to look at it. It's wrapped in a towel and shoved under the bed. It works just fine from there.
