Interference with PM signs

How do you know if something is interferring with your pacemaker like machinery, scanners etc. A friend has a wood chipper and it says not to operate if you have a PM. What affect does it have or what would I feel to know it is interferring. My Atrium works 90% and ventrical 10%.
