Hi there
I use to get sleepiness night when I first had mine and when I had it check they paced it up and then down. The feeling I didn't like. Night time I would get extra beats pvc palpatations. So now I make a point I don't want to be paced and they don't. Not sure why they do this maybe someone can answer this question. I think if your heart is sensitive it may respond more. Try asking them not to pace you unless it's really necessary

Check ups

I have not experienced discomfort after a check up but it seems different techs do things differently. One revs up my ventricle to a terrible level. Another not at all. Not sure why this is not standardized.

Just report to the pacemaker clinic and get them to check it again. They may not have returned everything to normal but it is unlikely. Better safe than sorry. Peter

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
Sorry

I am sorry that no one responded to your post. I take that to mean that nobody has had the same experience as you after their checkup. I have had my PM for 30 years and can say that I've never experienced anything like that.
I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Sincerely,
David
