colonoscopy

I will be needing a followup colonoscopy in a few months, for an earlier polyp removal. Has anyone any experience with this? Will the anesthesiologist (they use propofol) need a PM tech in the room to montor things? Any thoughts?

shouldn't be a problem

I've had a couple of surgical procedures since my PM with propofol and there was no need for a PM tech.

All you need to do is make sure that the anesthesiologist and the surgeon are aware of your PM ahead of time.

i had a colonoscopy in May with 4 polyps removed and no issue with my pacemaker. No tech was required either. Best of luck

I love propofol. That is what they used for my colonoscopy. When I woke up I had no side effects whatever. When I had my loop recorder and finally a pacer put in  they used fentanyl both times and my side effects were grogginess, and some depression the next day.

I went to  a guy for a colonoscopy . When he found out i have an ICD , he said it has to be done at a hospoital . Insurance issues.
