Kidney stones

I was wondering if anyone with a device has had a kidney stone and how was it treated ? I have read that shock wave lithotripsy is not recommended with a cardiac device.

Thanks

Laser treatment

I had laser treatment to break up a kidney stone that wouldn't pass, last December.  As a pacemaker-dependent patient, it was done at the hospital, with a PM technician present, and I got to go home the same day.   If you google "laser treatment kidney stones" you should get lots of information.  Although it's a laser, as long as you have the PM checked afterwards to ensure all is well, it should be fine.

My sympathies on the stones - I finally learned what 10 means when they ask you how bad your pain is on a scale of 1-10 . . .
