Pacemaker implant August 2015. Helped to a certain degree but still have issues with AF and are furrently on Cordarone which has a number of side affects.

During my check up my doctor suggested that I could try "Dofetilide". Does anyone have expereince with this medication?

Tikosyn

I believe you're asking about the brand-name Tikosyn.   I am on and have been on Tikosyn  for many years now. I have tried many other drugs and put in the hospital three times and the drugs all failed  after a short time. Tikosyn has worked great for me.   I was in permanent a fib and after receiving the second dose of this medicine I went into normal rhythm.  It is a very pricey drug because it is not generic as of yet.  As with many of the other drugs you will have to be put in the hospital for 3 to 4 days as they administer it to you so they can check to make sure you are handling it OK.

I have recently had two ablations to try to get off the Tikosyn and Medatoporol.   I will find out after my three months ablation check up if I can come off of the drugs yet.

Tikosyn worked wonders for me  and I didn't have any side effects from it.  I hope if you decide to take it it works just as well for you.   I wish you all the luck in controlling that terrible a fib.
