Non-sustained v-tach with about 8-12 beats and rates of up to 200, yes. Perfectly normal. No need to worry. Could even be that you had them before the implant, just that they are now picked up by the device.

I'd never had a sustained VT episode prior to having the device fitted. Within a day or so I'd had 4-5 episodes with longest being almost 2 minutes.  I was still in hospital at the time being treated for a post-op infection, so all the events had all been monitored. The consultant "suspected" my heart had become irritable post implant due to the procedure or possibly the infection. He increased the dosage of my beta-blocker significantly from 2.5mg to 10mg and I've had no sustained VT since. Over 3 months on and I still get short runs (4-6 seconds) of a few odd beats, almost daily, particularly when tired or when I've been active. Consultant is reluctant to reduce the dose of my beta-blocker to pre PM levels. So more meds post PM rather than less, happy days...
