Long QT - Newbie!

 

Hello everyone :-)

After suffering a cardiac arrest in Dec 2015 I was diagnosed with Long QT and had an ICD implanted just a few days later. I know that Long QT isn't the most common of cardiac conditions and am struggling to find anyone else with the same diagnosis! I'm hoping that someone here has the same condition and can share their experience?

Hello everyone :-D

I'm a 36yo female and I had my ICD implanted in Dec 2015 after a fainting episode that August -- I've known I have Long QT since I was 8 but I was pretty determined to believe it was just low blood pressure. In the past 12 months I've had V-Fib three times and this last Friday was particularly bad. Thank goodness for my ICD! I would certainly be long gone without it. Was wondering if anyone else out there experiencing the same thing would like to chat about it. I appreciate all my friends but I would like to talk to someone who understands how heavy this stuff is.
