Coughing up a TINY bit of blood

Hello Fellow Pacers.

I've coughed up a bit of blood from time to time since getting my PM.  It is just a tiny bit and always mixed with mucous.  I was initially told that this was from taking blood thinners; even baby aspirin can have that affect.

I'm off all those meds (even baby aspirin) but the past few days it's been happening again.  I feel absolutely fine.

Have any of you experienced this?  I tried to do a search on the site but didn't come up with any hits.

Thanks for any input!

Niecey

I think you need to see a specialist...

...this could be very serious.  The right guy can figure it out in minutes - looking at the color of the blood & the type of mucous. It might even be coming from the nasal sinus asrea of the skull.  From the alimentary canal, a quick endoscope job lets him/her see everything from the lips to the opening next to the appendix & gives you clearance for that part.

Go find a good gastro guy for quick peace of mind.

Be sure to use my name when you try to make an appt - Coughing up blood mixed w/ mucous.  You'll need my middle name whan you call - it's the color of the blood.

Good luck w/ your quest for truth.
