As the title says, I have been diagnosed to need a 2 chamber PM. I would like to evaluate which models have respiratory feedback and best battery life. Thanks

I think I have found my preferred device, and will of course need the approval of the installing EP.
Because of Boston Scientific's prevalence in the US market, combined with their Minute Ventilation feedback (along with accelerometer) as well as MRI compatibility (up to 1.5Tesla only) and the extra battery capacity of his unit, I think the Accolade MRI EL (L331 for 2 lead) is the right unit for me. This device has an expected battery life of 12yrs+. That assumes 100% pacing which I hope is unecessary. It comes at the cost of a bit more heft (29g), but I think that will be OK as I am 6', 200lbs with some meat. I don't know the costs. From what I have been told, the insurance will reimburse for what ever the Dr specifies.
I'm sure that in 12 yrs when I need to replace there will be great advancements in PM hardware and Electrocardiology. Stem cell therapy anyone?
I'll report back what the doc says, and also how it all goes. I am over most of my hesitation now, and am ready to get under the knife. Calling th Doc's on Monday.

Minute Ventilation

Boston Scientific and Sorin both made PM that include minute ventitation as part of thier rate response.
As far as battery life BS and possible Sorin make an exteneded life version.
As far as the specific life of a model you will need to look at their litature and it also depends on what features are enabled.
I would also ask the doctor about how good the local support is for those models.
