crt-d procedure

procedure was successful. after 2 years my EF has improved from 10-15 at time of implantation to 35-40 presently. however, that EF did not change from 9 months ago.

can i expect any more increase or is this the end of improvements?

thanks

My EF went from 24% to 50% within the first year (implant was 7 years ago).  Originally I was told if it was going to improve it would improve within the first 6 months or so.

About a year or two ago after an Echo, I was told my EF was 55%.  I didn't expect the extra increase after all that time but I'll take it!

So never say never.  :-)

I was focused on answering your question about further improvements.  Go by how you feel and try not to worry about the numbers so much.

If you feel better and no SOB, etc....then that is success.

thanks for responding. i feel great but my concern is that i was nearly asymptomatic prior to crt-d precedure and am now just wondering if i have reached peak of EF improvement. believe me, i am grateful every day. i am pacing at nearly 100%. best to you both.
