Hello, I'm seeking advice. I've had my pm since 9th March this year and it is set to maintain my heart at 60 bpm. It has been perfect until now. Last night my heart rate was 40 for several hours and I was feeling unwell, completely wiped out. All back to normal today. My query is I don't know what to do. I have an appointment with cardiologist 21st June - can I leave it until then or should I seek help sooner. I live in the UK and wish we had an advisory helpline for occasions such as this. Thanks.

I agree in that you should see the Doc ASAP. If you have a device for a phone check, perhaps you could have one of those done in the meantime. I can understand your pulse dropping slightly below 60, but 40 bpm is too far below the setting.
It is likely that you will be fine, but you should not wait to get checked-out.

GP or Pacemaker Clinic

Definitely worth a call, either to you Pacemaker clinic, or your GP - who will just refer you there anyway. They were very helpful with me, fitting me in to make adjustments shortly after I had mine fitted.

That Doesn't Sound Right

If that happened to me, I know my wife would dial 111 immediately and most likely they would advise heading to A&E.
Given though that you are fine now, I would most definately get a rapid appointment to see your GP.
