Arturo Segura, a 3 year old baby from Aguascalientes, Mexico, started having heart problems. His father worked long hours to support his family, but felt scared and helpless. “I didn’t have the money for that surgery. I couldn’t save my own son’s life.” . Arturo's life was saved in 2003 thanks to Heartbeat International Foundation. Today, Arturo runs around and plays with his friends. Heartbeat International Foundation provides cardiac pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and medical treatment free of charge to patients in need internationally.
