Hi Everyone,
Just over 3 weeks ago while holidaying in the UK I had complete heartblock and received an emergency dual chamber pacemaker as a souvenir to take home to Australia with me.
I'm only 27 and before the pacemaker I have always been very active. I walked a min 10km per day and went to the gym to either swim or cross-fit 5 days per week. Since receiving my pacemaker just over 3 weeks ago I have lost 3.4 kilograms. I have been doing small walks for about 30 minutes twice a week and my eating habits have been worse since the pacemaker as Iâve been indulging in the occasional doughnut or cake which I generally never do. Iâve had my blood checked with my GP and everything is perfect so I think it could be caused by the pacemaker. Before the pacemaker I weighed 65kg so 3.4kg is a lot for me in just over 3 weeks, especially with the decrease in activity.
Has anyone else experience this?
Thank you!

You know you're wired when...
You have an excuse for gaining an extra ounce or two.

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.

If I had to guess, I'd say you skipped more meals than you think you did. Things should level out as you get back to your old schedule.
If it's the pacer, then I want one of those ;)
