Hello.

Meaning, I can feel my heart beat.

I've never felt this when i didn't have a pacemaker.

Is this normal???

How slow was your rate before? You're probably just feeling the faster beat, not the pacing itself, and having had surgery it's normal to be focused on it at first. My rate more than doubled with the pacer so i was very aware of it for a few months after. As I healed and got back to life, I stopped thinking about it so much and now I don't even notice it. So, I'd say it's normal!

Get it tweaked

I got a Boston 2 weeks ago, I'm very fit but had 2nd degree heart block type 2 and had passed out twice. I had the same experience and went back one week later to a pace maker check and they adjusted it. I too could hear my heart rate when just sitting. It would kick in at night and scared me so my heart rate went up. Mine was set at 50 when my resting rate is 40 bpm. So now it's 45 and my voltage is 2 per cent. Most of the time my heart is working without the pm only late in the evening I may feel it kick in and feel bit lightheaded when it does. It's early days still for me too. Takes time to get use to the device. I found out it can stimulate your diaphragm nerve when laying flat in bed most uncomfortable. Use more pillows to stop this. Get them to take off the self testing it does most nights too. Hope this helps.

Maybe just sensative

I can feel my pacemaker pacing too. Whenever my ventricle gets paced I can feel a different more like a pounding heartbeat. I brought this to my doctor and they said that in a few months they will try turning down the voltages but they said I can just feel the difference between a natural heartbeat and one that is artificially generated and I might have to get used to it.

I would defiantly bring it up at your next appointment!!
