Scared of 2nd Ablation

I had an ablation in early January, felt terrible after the procedure for days and days. Three weeks later had a pacemaker installed because while in the hospital my pulse dropped to 20. I felt ok on and off, more off. Had an adjustment made after 2 weeks, felt ok for a few days then went back in last Thursday (two weeks later) because pulse is constantly in high 80 at resting and if I walked 20 feet it would spike over 100 bpm and I would struggle to breath. Doctor said I was in a-flutter now and would need another ablation. I decided to go in on Monday and have a cardioversion to see if this will knock it back into normal rhythm and hold. I had a hard time with the first ablation and was wondering if the second one would be easier. I was in GREAT health before all this (walked the dog, cleaned my house, took care of the pool, made dinner (my husband can't cook) and now I have been a vegetable for almost three months I was wondering if anyone has had a second ablation and what the results were and if they were as scared as I am to have another one.
I thank everyone on this message board for all the beautiful help you give to everyone who posts their problems. I'm so grateful I found this site. It's so good to talk to people with the same type of problems, people who really care. Thank you all and God Bless.

Ablation, second go .

Prior to joining this group, I never heard of the word "ablation".. As one can imagine, this technique has to be done uber-carefully - erring on the side of not removing enough material . Of course, I am guessing , but this makes sense .. .. to me .
So, I doubt if the second ablation would be easier, but it should be effective .. But then , I am a mechanic not a EP or a CL ..

I haven't had a second ablation but I had one for atrial flutter which was highly successful. You don't say why you had your first but flutter ablations are the easiest of all the ablations to have done and have the highest cure-rates. I am surprised that cardio version was tried , as ablation is now the first line treatment for A flutter.
My procedure only took about 45 minutes and I have had normal sinus rhythm ever since, which was 4 years ago.
If yours is similar to mine there is really no need to be scared.
Best of luck

The first ablation was for A-Fib. My doctor told me that he did some flutter repair along with the A-Fib and he said that flutter is more difficult to find so I thought it would take much longer to fix. I'm getting the cardioversion because he said I could try it being that I'm still in that 3 month window for my heart to repair. It was totally my choice. Maybe I chose wrong but it won't hurt to try it. If it is unsuccessful I will opt for the ablation. Thank you both for your comments, one positive and one not so much so. Guess it depends on how bad the flutter is.

The second ablation will be much easier than the first if the first one wasn't for atrial flutter
