Wi-Fi interference with pacemaker

Hello all-- I'm a newbie to this group and also a newbie with my pacemaker. I've had it for 2 weeks now and it is a dual chamber pm. We took a pet to the vet this morning and shortly after entering the exam room, I started having some pacing problems which continued until I left that exam room some 10 minutes later. We did much running around afterwards and it never happened again. I have been relatively free of problems since the placement. I decided to call the vet and she said they have a Wi-Fi system in place with computers in each exam room. Anybody else encounter this problem?? Thanks, and I've found this forum to be of immense help in answering a lot of my questions.

Probably not wi-Fi

The signal level for Wi-Fi should be way too low to cause any problems.

And Wi-Fi is around in many places, probably your own house.

Does your vet use K-laser? Mine does and I need to stay back from it. when they use it. They may have some other equipment with magnets, but wifi is everywhere and doesn't affect us.

Thanks so much

Thanks so much for these answers. Guess I'll wait & see if it ever happens again.

You know you're wired when...

You make store alarms beep.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
