I am the proud new owner of a Boston Scientific CRT device. 02-18-2016. The day before the implant I rode 15 miles on my bike and felt okay. Now I walk 25 yards quickly and I am tired and getting short of breath. My resting pulse used to be 50-60, now its set at 70. It has only been a week but shouldn't I feel better? Maybe my medications are too strong now. Thanks.

I completely agree with Tracey. It is either the med's or your Doc needs to adjust the settings. Be patient, but make sure they follow-up and fix it or give you answers.

Give it Time

Welcome to the Club Ricochet.
Time will heal what ails you. I felt LOUSY after getting my PM. I wanted it OUT! I fell asleep everywhere all the time. But slowly, almost imperceptibly, I began to feel better. I just keep asking myself, "Do I feel better that I did at Week 1? Do I feel better than I did last week?" Etcetra. The answer was YES. You'll begin to feel well - in time.
For what it's worth, a low setting of 70 sounds awfully high to me. Are you sure that's right?
Thanks Nice

Yes 70 is the resting pulse. I have premature ventricular contractions when my normal pulse was 55-60. They seem to go away at 70.

It will take some time for the body to adjust and heal, however if you suddenly can't do what you could do the day before the surgery, it sounds like the settings might need adjusted. Are the medications new? They can cause shortness of breath also, until we adjust. Ask to be seen.
