Hello, new to the sight. I had my pacemaker surgery on Nov, 17th and then went back to doctor on Dec 2nd and my lower lead came out. Was told I was doing to much. Not sure about that. Lead was reconnected on Dec 3rd.
Feel good, pulling were the strips are. Sleeping good and my question is the last 2 days I feel Iike I have indigestion, sharp pain every so often in upper chest and burping a lot . No pain or by the pacemaker. Any one else experience this. Never had this before the surgery.
No medications, go back to the doctor on Wednesday.

Went back to the doctor today. Everything is looking good. Still have the restrictions of no arm above my head or lifting over 5lbs for another 2 1/2 months. He said my issue was indigestion. Told me to watch it if it starts to happen all the time to see a doctor. Could be Gerd or acid reflux. He told me to go back to work when I want to and I can drive locally. Great early Xmas present.
Thanks

Thank for your help, I was thinking this morning when I got up that both days I had eat eggs. 2-3 hours later is when the the burping and pain in my chest started. So this morning I ate a bowl of cereal. No issue today, but plan on writing down what I ate the last couple of days and discuss it with my doctor tomorrow at my appointment. Hope for good news and get the OK to start driving.

Hi Michele Tell your doctor about your new symptoms on Wednesday.
Burping / hiccups after an implant is often caused by '"diaphragmatic pacing " . This happens when the lead irritates the phrenic nerve which in turn causes the diaphragm to contract and makes you burp or hiccup.
If it is that , the solution is often a simple adjustment to the pacemaker programming.
Best of luck
