A couple of questions. I had my pacemaker implanted 11-19-15. Had some ups and downs. Started with a sinus infection before Xmas and a cough. Treated with antibiotics infection went away. Cough still hanging on. Started to think I was turning the corner and then my daughters wedding. May have over done it. With 3 days of going now stop. Last Monday I was back to square one sore throat, cough, chills wiped out. Went back to the doctor said I now have a upper respiratory infections. Steroids, antibiotics and cough med. Finally starting to feel like everything is clearing up except the cough. The cough seems to only happen when I try to talk. Any help or suggestions would be great.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
Same as you

Michele196206, I had very similar problems to what you experienced. Pacemaker implant December, followed by sore throat and chest infection. I had an emergency pack of antibiotics, which I used for one week.
Almost cleared chest infection?
Two weeks later, went back for a stronger antibiotic course (the first not quite getting deep enough to eradicate properly).
It has come back once again ... productive cough, sore throat, head old and chills . I let it take it's course and it is now easing considerably. Chest still clear.
I would suggest drinks of Honey, lemon Juice in a glass of hot water. Really lovely drink ,so soothing and recommended by Grandma's everywhere?
Hope you feel better soon?
