Pacemaker and Insurance and DVLA

I had my pacemaker fitted in 2009 I am positive I let DVLA know but did not think I had to tell Insurance as it has been so long will they stop me from driving. I am sure I told DVLA but who do I ask yo check.
I would appreciate your help with this.

As long as DVLA have been informed you do not need to tell your insurer.

I phoned DVLA up and they're sending me a form to fill in, although you can download it from the internet (Form H1) - have you completed one of these?

I informed my vehicle insurer and they said as long as there's no restriction by DVLA or hospital my insurance isn't affected.

Thank you so much for your advice I have downloaded the form and filled it in. I may have already told DVLA cannot remember though and it was December 2008 looked on my little pocket it is in.
I am phoning Insurance in the morning to let them know.I am afraid I thought that it was always on record for insurances but apparently I have to tell them every year. But so glad I found this sight.

By the way for the person who has had a fall I had one in January fell head first down stairs and my pacemaker was sited right over and painful. but no damage.
