Medical ID

For all of you with big bulky Medical ID's... I strongly recommend laurenshope.com, they have beautiful bracelets for men, women, and children. In there catalog they have a selection of interchangeable bracelets too so you can change it for different occasions or if your tag needs to be changed. They can be a little more money than one at a jeweler, but I think you should check it out.

EMS Advice

Emergency medical workers strongly advise against getting medical alert bracelets that look like jewelry. They say they are not likely to be turning over beaded or jewelry like bracelets to see if a medical alert tag is somewhere. They recommend getting a plain, no nonsense medical alert bracelet with clear, engraving. I love my medical alert bracelet. I put it on 10 months ago and have never taken it off. It has a curved tag with a strong, but not bulky chain and a very simple, secure lobster style clasp. It has an excellent embossed medical alert symbol and the word "PACEMAKER" in all caps on the outside. It is so comfortable I forget it is there and it gets washed every time I shower. I don't have to worry about remembering to put it back on.I got mine on ebay and there are a great number of vendors and choices.

The Bracelet

This is the bracelet that I ordered and like so much. It was on sale when I got it. The vendor will size it and there are other bracelets offered that include custom engraving in the price. The size, weight and shape just suites me, and as I mentioned above it is so comfortable I never take it off. The store also accepts offers for the price and I think they would probably take $5 off.
