PM and BP

I got my first PM in 2007 and had a 100% AV node ablation. The PM box was recently replaced. I now suffer from high BP and am currently on medication for that. I regularly monitor BP and HR. The medication helps but an interesting phenomenon is a strong positive correlation between BP (both systolic and diastolic) and HR. (I'm talking about BP that typically increases by 20-30 mm Hg while HR increases from something like 70 to above 90.) One way I can think of this is that at the same time that the PM is induced (by movement) to produce faster HR my brain also senses that higher BP is required and signals the blood vessels to contract, resulting in an "overkill". Is this the way it should work?
