Hello everyone !
Have not been on in awhile. Has anyone gone to a chiro for the back and hip ? I know this chiro is good because my father-in-law has been going for years. I think the chiro has even worked on pacemaker people. But, has anyone gone ?

Regularly

I've seen a chiropractor regularly almost as long as I've been paced. Adjustments are fine. Muscle stim is ok on extremities, not torso. Massage is ok but avoid the leads. The massaging table is theoretically ok but I feel awful on it.

Following a fall, I developed sciatica-like problems in the hip.
Chiro helped. Muscle stim didn't do much, but I came to LOOOOOOOOOVE the big recliner massager.
Today I have no problem.

I have been to the Chiropractor many times. Just let them know you have a pacer and they will work around it. Bowlrbob

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.

I have found that chiropractors can vary significantly from one to the next. I fell off a ladder last August due to a syncope issue (which resulted in getting a PM). After the accident I had a lot of hip, back and neck problems.
I visited one chiropractor and it didn't help at all. He sent me to a physical therapist, who didn't help at all.
A friend recommended a chiropractor who had helped her for years, so I finally visited him. Wowâ¦what a difference! He has helped me tremendously, to the point where I am back to my old self. So, not all chiropractors (or MDs) are created equal. This guy is old school and really knows what he's doing.
