Went to the Er today

So I was at work and suddenly felt like I was gonna black out and then my heart went crazy. Weird thing is is that it was beating super fast under my breast and I felt horrible. I did forget to take my Metropolol today but it is only 12.5 mg a day twice a day. Not sure if that was it or the face that I have been on xarelto for a few weeks and they gave me pradaxa over the weekend until I get more xarelto on Monday. When I took the pradaxa I felt funny last night.
Mabey just a coincidence.
Another thing the Er doc said my heart rate was 180 for 8 minutes. The gave me loressor through the is and sent me home. It has been a few hours since I got back to work and my heart is acting silly again. Should I worry or call again?
The Er doc said to see my Ep specialist next week and keep taking my meds and they switched the z-pack I am on for my cough to another antibiotic because they said the z-pack can cause dangerous beats.

Meds

Could be a combination of things, stopping Metropolol and taking z-pak. Z-pak is known to cause crazy heart rhythms and should not be taken by anyone with known heart issues.

See your EP as soon as you can and tell him everything that went on including you stopped taking Metropolol.

Good luck

Unknown fast heartbeat

Anytime you've got a fast heartbeat like you've described, you need to get it checked out ASAP.

Sounds like your problems are getting worse. The 12.5mg of Metoprolol may not be holding things in check.

Heart problems can get progressively worse even though you've been taking your meds religiously.

I had a similar situation. I now have a procedure to follow if it happens again. Last thing on the list is a trip to the ER with a large shot of cardizem to get the heart under control.

Don't mess around. Get yourself checked out quickly.

Not much help

My ep's nurse said she spoke to hi. And he said to continue the Metropolol. That they have not seen any afibb since I got out of afibb on my own last week and this was just "those" pvc's we have talked about in the past (left lower chamber) .
So I guess that's my answer?

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
