5 weeks post op still in pain

Right where my pacemaker is I still have pain and my left arm and shoulder still hurts. It's getting better but very slowly. My ep's nurse said they do this on people in their 90's that don't complain of pain like me. Well I told her I am 42, chase after four kids and have a business so I'm not retired. She said that is more reason for me to heal faster because I am young.
I have been back to work for 2 weeks now. I don't lift but I do have to be active . My husband has been running the restaurant but we have been super short staffed so I kinda have to help out. Mabel too much too soon.
Feeling tired, stressed and frustrated not to mention I have PMS on top of it all. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!
And to further vent my paperwork and bills are piled so high.
Thanks guys.

Thank you guys . Sometimes the nurses talk too much for the doctors. Then sometimes you see the doctor and they are worse less sympathetic.

attitude adjustment

Hi there - Your EP's nurse needs a major attitude adjustment. Age is no barometer for evaluating post-implant pain and she needs to stop mouthing off to the patients.

I would not tolerate this kind of treatment and would mention it to my EP at the next office visit. If your hospital sends you a survey (information gathering seems to be all the rage these days--at least in major metro areas where patients have many hospital/doc choices), I would make sure the hospital heard about this as well.

As for your pain...it is not uncommon to continue to experience pain five weeks post-implant though that's the kind of thing I would be certain to mention to my doc. Did you go back to work too soon? Sometimes these things cannot be helped: likely you did what you had to do. That said, a restaurant is a fast-paced workplace and I'm not surprised that--even trying to take it easy--you are tired and in pain. If your EP is unsympathetic, talk to your primary care provider. They should all be working together to coordinate your care.

Let us know how you do.
