I have been scheduled to have a pacemaker put in on August 29th. I've had several surgeries over the years but this one has me a little anxious. What can I expect and what is it like after surgery?

Other than some minor pain at the decision site which is about 2 inches, you will be out and about the next day. They will keep you overnight as a precaution. It is a very minor, routine procedure with a very high success rate. As with all surgeries, the provider and you will follow the protocol to avoid infection. Finally, if you need a pace maker, you will be glad you got it!!! Don't worry and good luck!!!

as Rodger except that I returned home the same day.

No worse than going to the dentist in my view !

Best of luck
