Brand

New guy here....56 years old.

Two lead install five weeks ago...
Left heart complete electrical block. fainting...I have a high Heart rate, not a low one....so meds bring it down and sometimes it drops too much..

Not that it matters, Interesting I've seen no others mention the " Biotronik" brand..
I have one friend who has a PS and it's the same kind..

Funny how mine will only kick on once a month or whenever...when I need it...Which is a GOOD thing...

Pinetop Az...

They were giving me meds to slow down my heart. Only problem was it got so slow it stopped.

Glad they were able to find a solution to your problem.

After you settle in to the new routine you'll find the PM wont' limit you. I'm thinking about the only limitations are MRI's and (in the United States) obtaining a private pilot's license.

Hope things continue to go well for you.

Biotronik

I have a Biotronik pacemaker, and so do several others here. But it's a German brand, not that well known in the U.S. And since most members here are from the U.S., they usually get Medtronic (biggest market share worldwide), Boston Scientific or St. Jude, all of which are American manufacturers. Doesn't mean that Biotronik is any worse, though. Actually, they were the first ones to offer (wireless) home monitoring, and second to Medtronic to offer MRI-safe devices.
Best wishes!

My PM is MRI proof, so I'm told.

My first one was Medtronic. The second one placed six months ago is Biotronic. I feel both offer good products..
