You Will Be Surprised

I suggest you put ice on the incision as soon as possible. Ice helps with pain management by slowing down bruising and edema. I also suggest drinking lots of unsweetened Cranberry Juice, the good yogurt, gallons of water to flush out the bad stuff and refresh your cells. Take your pain meds on schedule for the first 48 hours after implant, then see how you feel when you miss a pill or two.
Move your arm, but just a tiny bit the first week. Do not be rough, just move it to keep your range of motion.

I think the first three days are critical to how your recovery will go. Even if you feel great, do not over do until everything is healed.

You should whiz right through the process. Sleep is very good you heal quicker if you sleep a lot. Plus you will not hurt so much if you are careful about timing your pain meds.

I expected the worst when I had my device implanted, I had very little pain compared to my shoulder surgery. I was up and around way before I thought I would be.

Wear soft comfortable easy on, easy off clothing, I wore really loose stuff and a old cotton bra, that was almost useless, however it gave a tiny bit of support.

Be sure to give us a report tomorrow.

Get well soon

Well I am sure you are over the Operation, with a couple of chilled days getting used to the changes, I hope you have a speedy recovery, but you must listen to your body and take it easy. Roy

Thank you!
