Baths

I have taken showers since getting my pacemaker almost 3 months ago. But I love long bubble baths. Is it ok to take them again? I don't feel that any question I have is too unimportant to ask this group. That's how you make members feel.

BATH

You have been very patient, I had a bath 3 days after op, keeping wound covered and out of the water. But like you two I love my soak with a good book. Just be careful pushing your self out I used a bath mat after my first bath and realised I could not push myself out. Had to wriggle round onto my knees, a bit silly and glad I didn't slip. Enjoy.

I too prefer bubble bath and do them all the time usually lavender (which is insect repellant) and often add Epsom if I have worked particularly hard in garden. No ill effects for me just relaxation Trish

...................as jsne has said..you have been very patient....so, dive in and enjoy !!...people ask me why I don't shower and, simply, my reply is....showers play havoc with the library books !!

Good point about the bath oil..

I prefer long, hot baths to a shower also and I got my PM in March (roughly the same timing as you, I imagine). I am back to baths since late May. I assume your incision is completely healed (as mine has been for weeks) so keeping it dry is no longer an issue.
If you like bath oil, however, take care that it doesn't make your tub slippery. You wouldn't want to chance a fall when leaving the tub and possibly land on your chest.
Enjoy!
