Hi all,
I've had my pm since April and all has healed well. I'm back to my regular schedule, golfing, clogging, swimming and working out at the gym.
Seldom even remember the pm, however today in the shower I noticed that it is really close to the top layer of flesh, I can actually hold it in two fingers and move it around...I didn't think I really moved it...was just kind of seeing where it was...since then I seems to sting or burn a little, not much just feels like maybe something is pinched. Can this be fixed? Did I break something or displace it? Will it go back?
Anyone else had this experience?

Good Advice

I have several times had the scar become burning and itchy, but only recently related it to hydration. I have lost 10 lbs after getting off that nasty metoprolol, and exercising and firming up and, indeed, I have noticed my device is more prominent lately and the skin over it seems stretched. What Theknotguy says makes sense.

Depends upon hydration

Depending upon how hydrated you are - or aren't, the PM can appear to shift in position. Also if you have lost weight. If you would have dislodged it or damaged the leads in some way with your exercise, you'd know it.
The only other thing I can think is if your EP didn't implant it as far down, or you have thinner skin. You can discuss with your EP but I don't think he/she will be too concerned.
They usually give the leads on the PM side a little more wiggle room to compensate for movement. So unless you're grabbing hold of it and yanking it around there shouldn't be any problems with slight movement.
Same for me, if I forget to keep myself hydrated, the PM will stick out more than when I am hydrated. Right after I got my PM I was down 33 pounds so at first, it really stuck out. After I gained my weight back and if I was hydrated, you could barely see it except for the scar.
Keep up your exercise. Any exercise you do counts.
