I have a Advisa DR MI SureScan Medtronic PM implanted about 10 weeks ago sub pectoral for bradycardia and sick sinus syndrome. My atriium lead is working 98.7% of the time and the ventricle around 15%. He increased the voltage for the atrium lead when I was at my appt.
My pm made a two-tone single beep this morning while I was still in bed reading. This is the 3rd time since implantation.
Anybody know anything about this? I will send CareLink today with an email to my dr's office. My appt. a few weeks ago showed no arrhythmias lasting longer than 3 min. I go back to the ep in about a month.

Listen to the sounds on this YouTube video and see if that is what you heard. It won't explain why, but maybe what...

Hi islandgirl I, too, have a Medtronic Advisa implanted for bradycardia and Sick Sinus Syndrome.
I was in a neighbour's kitchen last year and when I got close to her induction hob the PM made a two-tone sounding beep. I contacted Medtronic in the UK and was told that the Advisa cannot make a beeping noise !
You and I know that it can, so the mystery deepens !

I contacted Medtronic US today. They told me my pm does not have any sound capabilities.
I was not near any electronics or anything that could disrupt the pm.
When I call to make an appt. I'll ask about the beeping. I recorded the time and date and emailed it to the office when I used Carelink to provide weekly info to the EP.

Called ep office to make my regular follow-up appt and ask about the mysterious beeping. She said the ep had received my carelink transmission and email with specific dates and times of events, including the beeping. The office person said the beeps are when the pm hasn't been interrogated in awhile. I reminded her it had been 2 weeks since my last carelink transmission and she said then that wouldn't be the reason. She said there was a note in my chart, on the EP's desk, that I send another carelink transmission, which I did after the phone call. Hopefully the EP will call me back sometime regarding the events and also the beeping.
I'll keep you posted and hopefully I can find the cause of the mysterious beeping. I was thinking I could call Medtronic US back and ask to speak to somebody that knows more about the pm than the person that answered the phone.

Thanks for the reference.
It's similar, but just one set of the two-tone sound, not multiple sets.
