Medical Necklace

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can purchase a Medical Alert Necklace and who would engrave it?

Thanks.

Hi '
I got an I.D tag from these folks. Very professional and QUICK. They have necklaces, ready made bracelets, and tags, ( I make jewelry, so this was the best for me.)
check out their site. They are located in Fl.
Good luck

Also tons on etsy and ebay, depending what you're looking for. I got an online medical record from American Medical, free with any purchase, then I bought more stylish ones elsewhere and had that number engraved on it with my name and PACEMAKER. I don't put more details because they can change with time, this way if my doctor or meds change, my id's won't be obsolete.

Look Local

I went to a local jewelry store. They have them right there so you can see them. Mine was engraved within 15 minutes and I went on my merry way!

I like to do business locally when I can. If I can find something considerable cheaper on line I will, but I like to support local people. Plus, I can actually see and touch what I am purchasing!

Bracelets VS Necklaces

There are differing opinions on this, but I have been told by both EMTs and nurses to wear a plain medical bracelet and nothing that looks like decorative jewelry or charms. Those things and necklaces are too easily overlooked. I have an extremely comfortable bracelet with a sturdy chain, lobster clasp and slightly rounded tag with the medical alert symbol, engraved "pacemaker". I got mine on ebay and numerous vendors offer several lines of free engraving. I put mine on a year ago and have never taken it off. There is no danger that I will forget to put it on, and it has become a natural part of my body, I never even notice it. It gets washed when I take a shower.

You know you're wired when...

You have a new body part.
