Great name Motown61. I just call mine "my friend on my shoulder".

I have all I can do to keep all of my son's names straight...lol.

I never considered naming my device, I just consider it part of me.

I also never named my hip.... or my screw. :-)

I can't print what I call mine, especially when it itches and bothers me at night, or I bump it while putting on a shirt or pullover. It doesn't seem to mind, though.

But it is the most obvious name in the book (Sparky). Mostly because that is the easiest way to help young students realize what it is quickly in case of an emergency.

The High Schoolers just like to call me their Borg overlord, or robot, and joke about charging their cellphones using my battery.

I'm very open with my students about this, I had to be, since some of them saw me at my worst passed out on the floor right before I got "Sparky".

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
