Post Pacemaker

Hi needing some advice if possible.. in feb I had a permanent PM for an Intermittant Complete Heart Block. 2 wks ago I had to have a atrial lead revision and relocation but over these past 2 days Ive been having constant palpitations and a thumping headache and constant nausea. Ive contacted my cardiologist but no one seems concerned at all and I'm feeling worse. Can anyone give me some advice please Im desperate.

Hi: If I was you I would go to the ER.

I see you are in Australia, the best thing is to ring 000 and get an ambulance, they have the equipment and will check you out. I have done that a couple of times with A-Fib, and both times have taken me to emergency.

Thanks people my BP was very high and I needed my rate readjusting.. All sorted now..I did go to A&E and they sent me home telling me its not the heart and I didnt show any sign of a heart attack, this did nothing for my anxiousness. I contacted the Heart Centre here and they sent for me straight away.

Hi All,
Just a follow up post.. its now 5wks since Ive had the PM relocated and lead revision and although still tender at the site I feel fantastic.. Everything has settled down nicely and the high BP is now under control, pacing at 60bpm. Although we tend to worry when things dont feel right initially it does get much better and life resumes better than before. Ive started running again and bounding into life head on, nothing is going to hold me back and that excites me for the first time in many, many years in fact I feel like im 16 instead of 53.
