Is there anything I should be aware of when taking a cruise?

Security is similar to the airport. You'll go through security every time you get on and off the ship. At first I told them about the pacer and they did a pat down, then I started walking through. No problems.

SCUBA diving is probably out. Your call on snorkeling.

Check on drinking with meds. Don't get sunburned.

We just took a cruise in Aug of this year! we enjoyed it greatly! they will do security on you so make sure you have your PM card available, they mostly did pat downs on me and I was able to go thru some of their machines they are old pro's at dealing with PM's and will guide you thru all the way! we had absolutely no problems. We went on Carnival and it was incredible!

Watch out for the food. I hear they have plenty of it, although I've never been on a cruise. I think you should watch out for the "fun" stuff. Don't overdo it. My family gets worried if they see me having too much fun. They're scared that my ICD will go off and they won't know what to do. Yes, I'm just having fun with you. Have fun, eat what you want, drink in moderation. My doc says I can have a glass of wine once a week, or a beer at a football game if I feel like it. I don't go to football games, but I'll try the beer. I thought I did read once here that dolphins don't like to be around people with pacemakers. I don't know where that came from. (Probably too much beer at football games.) I wish I could go with you because thanks to my ICD, I feel great.....
