Asymptomatic experiences with CRT-D

First post! I have absolutely no symptoms but have just been told that I need a CRT-D due to LBBB, low EV and disynchronocity and enlarged left ventricle.

Difficult to accept as no symptoms even when skiing or hillwalking .

Anyone else out there asymptomatic who's had a CRT-D? Did it improve EV? Change anything else?

thanks

about difficulty accepting it due to lack of symptoms.

Let me remind you before having problems w/ asymptomatic requirements for an CRT-D that Rabies, Prostate cancer, Ovarian cancer & several other often fatal diseases are asymptomatic until the day the victim becomes untreatably terminal.

Just thought I would comment. I am 29, had no symptoms, and didn't know any issues until I had my first child a couple of months ago and my blood pressure was really low. After meeting with a couple of specialists, found out I had complete heart block and needed a PM. I didn't realize until after I had it implanted that I actually had been really tired, and just never knew it!

Mine was very similar. I thought I was asymptomatic until I felt better. Then I realized just how much I had been compensating, how tired I really was.

How old are you? How low is your EF? If you can ski, I'm going to assume your rate goes up on exertion. Have you had a Holter to see how low you are getting and if you have pauses? I would suggest that first. The next step is to get a second opinion. Sometimes asymptomatic is a good thing and you can afford to wait, just keep an eye on things for a while.Other times it's dangerous and your symptoms are silent.

You know you're wired when...

You fondly named your implanted buddy.
